Day 01 Arrival Muscat - Half Day Muscat City Tour – Overnight at Muscat (Private vehicle) (50 Km)

Arrive at the Muscat International Airport in the morning. Once you reach the arrival lounge, you will be met the tour guide and depart for a half-day Muscat city tour. The tour will start with a visit to the magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque which is one of the largest mosques found in the Middle East. Afterward, move to the Muttrah Souq, where you will be haggling for handicrafts & silver items. Later, visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum which is located in the heart of Muscat, Oman’s historic capital city. You will have great photo stops at the abode of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Al Alam Palace, which is bordered by the sixteenth-century Portuguese citadels Mirani & Jalali. Check in at the hotel and rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02 Hotel in Muscat – Nizwa – Bahla – Jabreen - Wadi Ghul – Wadi Nakhar – Overnight at Jabal Shams (Grand Canyon) (Private vehicle) (290 Km)

After having breakfast, proceed to the Nizwa city, the former capital of Oman. It rises around the walls of the famous Fort. Its construction embraces both traditional and modern architectural lines. Visit the Souk, which has remained for hundreds of years and home to many local industries. Omani daggers (khanjar), copper, silver jewelry, sale of livestock, fish, vegetables, and handicrafts can be found at the souk.

Photo stop at the imposing Bahla Fort (UNESCO site). It was built in the third millennium BC. The length of the south facade is approximately 112 meters, while the east facade is approximately 114 meters.

Visit of Jabreen Castle, a large rectangular building consisting of five floors and containing 55 rooms. This castle stands out for the inscriptions and frescoes that adorn its rooms. The castle’s ceilings are decorated with Islamic-era paintings and inscriptions, and its doors are beautifully carved. A Falaj runs through the centre of the castle.

Continue to witness old mud houses in Oman. Al Hamra feature one of the oldest villages of this area. You will be surprised to these see these traditional mud houses that are dated back more than 400 years. The falaj system found in this historic village considered to be one of the oldest of this type. Thenceforth you will be driven to Wadi Gul and Wadi Nakhar – the isolated villages placed precisely at Great Canyon’s drop point. Then, proceed to Jabal Shams. On the way, you will witness, Wadi Nakhar – one of the most beautiful and deepest canyons on the earth. From here drive inside the village where the chief activity is weaving, particularly Omani rugs. Then your tour continues to the zenith of Jabal Shams where you will get to witness the exceptional view of the Grand Canyon.

Day 03 Hotel in Jabal Shams – Misfat Al Abriyeen - Bilad Sayt - Snake Canyon - Wadi Bani Auf – Nakhal – Drop off at Muscat (270 Km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Your first stop will be at the picturesque Misfat Al Abriyeen, the village boasts wonderful agricultural terraces, beautiful alleys and old houses built on massive rocks. The old dwellings of Misfat Al Abriyeen are traditional mud houses with palm roofs and are unique in that they are built on solid rock foundations. Here you will also see the traditional Omani irrigation canals (Falaj system) where water is channelled from underground sources to support agriculture and domestic use.

Please note we require 50% of the payment on confirmation and the balance 4 weeks prior to arrival or the full payment can be settled on confirmation.
