DAY 01 Arrival at Muscat Airport – Overnight at Muscat (Private vehicle)
Arrival at Muscat International Airport. Meet and greet by the representative of the local company and transfer to the hotel.
(Check-in time is 14:00 Hrs. Early check-in subject to availability)

DAY 02 Hotel in Muscat - Muscat city tour – Overnight at Muscat (Private vehicle) (50 KM)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure for a Muscat city tour. It starts with a visit to the magnificent Grand Mosque built with sandstone and marble. A beautiful Swarowski chandelier and a huge handmade Persian rug adorn the main prayer hall. Cross the Ministries area and move towards the architectural beauty and special secrets of the Royal Opera House Muscat. You will discover the history and genesis of Oman’s premier venue for arts and culture in all its structural boldness, technical innovation; and perhaps most of all, ROHM’s breath-taking decorative artistry with motifs derived from Islamic, Mughal, Oriental and European art.

Continue to Muttrah Souq, it is one of the oldest markets in Oman, dating back to about two hundred years ago. Its antiquity has perhaps increased the scope of its beauty, magic and charm.
Photo stop at the Al Alam Palace, the Sultan’s Palace and the Mirani and Jalali Forts (outside only). Continue to the private museum Bait Al Zubair, located in the historic centre of Muscat is known for its collection of traditional costumes, ancient jewelry and weapons.
After lunch, return to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure.
(Notes for visiting the Mosque: Please consider the dress code for visiting the Grand Mosque: women must completely cover their hair, arms and legs; men must wear long pants and a long-sleeved shirt / shirt. Visit not possible on Friday).

DAY 03 Hotel in Muscat – Rustaq – Wadi Bani Awf - Bilad Sayt – Overnight at Jabal Shams
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and visit the magnificent Rustaq Fort which is perched on a rocky outcrop of the western Hajar mountains. The old village of Rustaq leads to the famous hot springs situated at the end of an attractive oasis. Make the most of a quick visit to the shallow springs surrounded by lush green date plantations and steep mountain peaks. You will continue an amazing drive through Wadi Bani Auf, which brings you to the base of the north face of Jebel Shams and the beautiful village of Bilat Sayt, hidden between the mountains. DAY 04 Jebel Shams – Al Hamra – Misfat Al Abriyeen – Bahla – Jabreen - Overnight at Nizwa
Breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Al Hamra, visit Bayt Al Safah museum which is one of the famous museums in Oman. The museum is known as a “living museum” and it has the shape of an old Omani house, which provides an exceptional experience that resembles the ancient Omani lifestyle.
Visit Misfat Al Abriyeen village, nestled up in the higher ranges of the Jebel Shams mountain range. It was built more than 300 years ago by nomadic tribes travelling throughout the region.

Visit the substantial Bahla Fort sits on a small hill. The fort is one of the oldest in Oman. It is one of the UNESCO world Heritage sites with its lofty vestibule the main citadel in the southeast of the for is the oldest part.
Visit Jabreen Castle dates back to 1670. It was built to resemble the most beautiful palaces of that period. This castle was a beautiful palace for the Immam and his family and a bastion during wartime. It was also a beacon of education and contained many study rooms. Continue to Al Hamra and visit Bayt Al Safah museum which is one of the famous museums in Oman. The museum is known as a “living museum” and it has the shape of an old Omani house, which provides an exceptional experience that resembles the ancient Omani lifestyle.
Later in the afternoon visit the Nizwa city, the former capital of Oman. It rises around the walls of the famous Fort. Its construction embraces both traditional and modern architectural lines. Visit the Souk, which has remained for hundreds of years and home to many local industries. Omani daggers (khanjar), copper, silver jewelry, sale of livestock, fish, vegetables, and handicrafts can be found at the souk.

DAY 05 Hotel in Nizwa - Al Manzifat - Wadi Bani Khalid - Wahiba Desert - Overnight in Wahiba Sands - (Private vehicle) (290 KM)

Visit the village in ruin of Al-Manzifat. The narrow alleys enhance the traditional architecture where it was necessary to protect itself against the raids and the tribal wars that the country knew during the Middle Ages.
Cascading through narrow channels in Wadi Bani Khalid, the perennial water flow from the southern eastern Hajar mountains has been dammed to create the reservoirs needed to irrigate the date palms in the valley below at Muqil. These clear pools of water, populated by freshwater fish, also provide a backdrop for picnics. Around the pools, charming vistas and short walks through small valleys and abandoned houses encourage you to enjoy the beauty of this location.

Arrival at the entrance of the Wahiba desert. The dunes reach 200 km in length and 100 km in width to the Arabian Sea and have been the land of the Bedouins for 7,000 years. Possibility to venture into the high dunes and watch an unforgettable sunset in the desert, and then safely reach the camp.

DAY 06 Camp in Wahiba Sands – Cross the Desert to Muhut – Overnight at Sugar Dunes in Khaluf
After breakfast, it is time to begin crossing the dunes as you drive to the Sugar Dunes of Khaluf Bay. Khaluf Bay is backed by soaring sand dunes. In the waters on the beach, local fishermen are hard at work and the bays vibrant bird population means eagles soar above whilst flamingos balance precariously in the shallow waters. Your camp site (Tent) is already set up. Time to kick back and relax.

DAY 07 Camp in Khaluf – Overnight at Rub Al Khali
Experience the stunning sunrise. Following your breakfast, you will have some free time to explore a little by foot. You then continue driving onwards to the desert of Rub Al Khali, the home of the Bedouins in the region of Oman straddling the border with Saudi Arabia and the Yemen. Here the extreme temperatures and arid conditions mean that it is mostly uninhabited, although its fringes are home to the proud, resourceful and hardy Bedu, which have survived here for centuries. Your expert tour guide dunes his way manoeuvring the vehicles to reach your camp site.

DAY 08 Camp in Rub Al Khali - Overnight at Salalah
Breakfast at the Camp area and head further south towards Salalah. Be guided through a landscape of colossal golden and red sand dunes, vast salt flats and oases. Experience the sensation of being surrounded by deafening silence and sand. Enjoy supreme tranquillity in one of the most stunning environments on earth. Very few people have the opportunity to explore the vastness of the Empty Quarter. Be sure to make the most of it. Later, you arrive in Salalah.
